We actually did it! I never thought we'd be able to, but we really and truly threw a surprise birthday party for my mom and she never suspected a thing! (See my mom's blog for her side of the story.) Everyday before Saturday, Emily and I would be in the kitchen washing/drying dishes while mom was outside and we'd discuss details, talk about how excited we were and, on my part anyway, make HUGE long lists of things to do in preparation. I ended up not really using any of the lists, except the days before when I was getting an idea of how much work needed to be done, but at least I had fun.
The nice part was that we didn't really have to make any of the food. Everyone who came brought something to add (thank you, you know who you are!) and everytime I would be stressing out because I didn't know what to do about something (mainly about how I was going to make enough muffin/cupcakes for everyone) another person would call and offer their services for exactly that.
All total, I think there was close to fifty people who came, though not all of them came at once. We thought of the perfect ploy. (and yes, that was aliteration) Dad told mom that one family was coming so Mr. B could help him put the shocks on our new van. While mom was chatting in the living room all the people started driving into the driveway and lining up! It was so fun!
Emily ran to the door and said "Hey! Look at this mom!" At first mom didn't get up to see, she thought it was just something Isaac was doing, but then I added "We can't really bring it inside to show you." So she went to look and was so shocked! I nearly died of laughter and pent-up excitment.
Well, anyway, the day was a big hit, though we didn't get much gardening done. *grin* We made strawberry kefir shakes and blueberry and I think they went over ok. If you loved them, or at least liked them a bit, please comment and surprise me. Personally, I think they're wonderful.
I'm rambling. I apologize.
So we all talked and played games and ate food (what else?) and generally had a good time. Thankfully we had everything so well planned that mom had a nice time too. Usually parties become stressful on the mother, even when she is the beneficiary.
PS- I never did get a cake made that day, but that's a tale for another post.

Eisa is one of Messengers who is stated in Qur’an and Allah (The Only One Almighty, The proper name of Our Creator) had sent him as the Last Prophet to Children of Israel. Jesus is a latinized name. His real name is EISA. He is not Jewish and Christian. He is a human and Muslim. He eats, sleeps, drink water and speak like us. He never hear and see you but Allah hears and sees you. He never help you. But Allah can help you if Allah wills. His birth date can be 300-400 years B.C. His miracles related to medicine is majority. But at the beginning of birth of Christ, medicine had not been favorite so much. In addition, according to Taurat and Gospels, all dates between 400-0 years always is skipped. There were very great events in this period.
5: 116 And behold! Allah will say:"O Eisa (Jesus) the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as ilâhaîn (two gods in worship, etc.) in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. English Translation of the meaning of Qur’an.
5:117 "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.
He is The Messiah. Messiah is not savior. It is stated in the Qur’an: “The Messiah ['Eisa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddiqah [i.e. she believed in the words of Allah and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while Allah does not eat). Look how We make the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revealations, etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth).” (5: 75)
"And Allah will teach him (Prophet Eisa) the Book and Wisdom, the Law (Taurat) and the Injeel, (3: 48)
He is not Word. He is the one of commands of word be. He is not The Truth. He is the one of truths of Allah jalla jalaluh. He is about to truth. Allah is Haqq (The Truth). Hadrad Eisa and His apostles (They are not apostles of Allah) were speaking Syriac which is one of dialect of Aramiac. But this dialect is different in Syria. Palestinian people were so foreigner to Hellen language so that Roman general Titus felt to got his speech translated when he wanted to speak to people of Jerusalem in A.C 70. In greek word Pericletus means Munhamanna in Syriac. Munhamanna means Muhammad in Arabic. But Christian schoolars can change Pericletus in Yohannes Bible and took place paracletus word. ‘Ahmed’ or ‘Muhammad’ meaning ‘the one who praises’ or ‘the praised one’ is almost the translation of the Greek word Pericletus. It is not used that The name of Ahmed in Arab literature before Hadrad Muhammad (pbuh). You can see truths about Hadrad Muhammad (pbuh) parts of Evangelium Barnabe:72, 83, 96, 97, 124. All Christians must know this Glad Tidings of Messenger, believe Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), obey and follow him. It is stated “And remember, Eisa (Jesus), the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tiding of Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, this is evident sorcery. ″(Qur’an, As-Saff: 6)
