How Firm a Foundation

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,

Is laid for your faith in His excellent word.

What more can He say than to you He hath said,

To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

... ... ...

“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,

For I am thy God- I will still give thee aid.

I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,

Upheld by my gracious, omnipotent hand.”

About Me

My photo
Miss Jordan Elizabeth
Who am I? I could say so much about myself- but I'd rather not. Most importantly though, the real me is found in Jesus Christ- who redeemed me from the stain of sin- and it is only IN HIM where my identity is found. Because of who He is I have no fear; Christians have no fear for He will be the Victor. What an amazing God!! First John 4:4- Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

We Need You!

Yes you.

The Christian Life takes character- We are to emulate Christ.

The Christian Life needs competence- We need to do right, well, right!

The Christian Life requires collaberation- We need to band together for the Glory of God.

Join the Rebelution.

The Longing

We live in a world shattered,

Each step reechoes the cracking of broken glass,

Shards at first removed from aching feet

but then... finally... tolerated,

Longing to recover the tranquil garden

of gentle grass

Anonymous

me with a friend from Mexico!!

Allelujah.

Vain the stone, the watch, the seal,
Allelujah.

Christ has burst the gates of hell,
Allelujah.

Death in vain forbids Him rise,
Allelujah.

Christ has opened paradise,
Allelujah.

For Thee...

I suffered much for thee,

More than thy tongue can tell,

Of bitterest agony

To rescue thee from hell.

I've borne, I've borne

It all for thee

What hast thou borne for Me?

I've borne, I've borne

It all for thee

What hast thou borne for Me?

quote of the week-1

'The man who serves You best is the one who is less intent on hearing from You what he wills to hear than on shaping his will according to what he hears from You.'

--St. Augustine, Confessions

quote of the week- 2

life is a pool table...

"When God hits somebody, it hits you and me - and him and her... What God does in our lives will affect others in ways we can't even see."

~Pastor Leonel Martinez

quote of the week- 3

"I had forgotten that," said Eomer. "It is hard to be sure of anything among so many marvels. The world is all grown strange... How shall a man judge what to do in such times?"

"As he ever has judged," said Aragorn. "Good and ill have not changed since yesteryear; nor are they one thing among Elves and Dwarves and another among men. It is a man's part to discern them, as much in the Golden Wood as in his own house."

---J. R. R. Tolkein, The Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers

quote of the week- 4

"You found God, sir?"

"I think He found me."

~William Wilberforce

Amazing Grace

quote of the week- 5

“Death had to take [Theodore] Roosevelt sleeping; if he had been awake, there would have been a fight.”

—Former Vice President, Thomas R. Marshall, 1919

quote of the week- 6

"Caesar once, seeing some wealthy strangers at Rome, carrying up and down with them in their arms... young puppy-dogs and monkeys, embracing them and making much of them, took occasion... to ask whether the women in their country were not used to bear children; ...gravely reflecting upon persons who spend and lavish upon brute beasts that affection and kindness which nature has implanted in us to be bestowed on those of our own kind."

~Excerpted from Plutarch's Lives

quote of the week- 7

"And don't just follow your heart, man, 'cause your heart can be deceived. You gotta lead your heart!"

~Fireproof

quote of the week- 8

"It is always right to do right... It never can be necessary to sin. No doubt we may say that if we refuse to sin under certain pressure, death will be the result. But that will not alter the case; for it is better to die than to sin; and if there be no other way out of it, we ought to be willing to die rather than to sin."

Rev. William M. Taylor, Daniel the Beloved

quote of the week- 9

“Jesus never married, but He spent His whole life preparing to be.”

-- Voddie Baucham, The Ministry of Marriage

quote of the week- 10

How could the Eternal do a temporal act,

The Infinite become a finite fact?

Nothing can save us that is possible.

– W.H. Auden

quote of the week- 11

"Nothing isn’t."
